Summer Reading Programs
Our 2012 Summer Reading Programs were a big hit! Children of all ages came out in herds to see the awesome creatures and try to “get a clue” about these animals. We have already started booking for the summer of 2013. Be sure and watch for postings at your local library to see when The Creature Teacher will be paying a visit. It’s free entertainment for the kids and encourages them to pick up a book and read more about their favorite creatures!!
Classroom Creatures
This hands-on program is sure to engage each student and encourage class participation. For groups of 30 or less, each student will be allowed to touch any or all animals. They may be asked to describe differences in the way a reptiles skin feels verses our skin, why a turtle has webbed feet, but a tortoise doesn’t, or what learned behavior a parrot might have acquired. The instructional curriculum is based on the appropriate TEKS for that grade level.
Stage Presentations
For large gatherings up to 300 people, this stage production is sure to entertain all ages. Our educators will show each animal on a platform format, carefully pointing out important facts. Plenty of audience participation will surely keep your group engaged for the entire program.
